Who this is for

Owners and managers of small and mid-size businesses who received two or three quotes for software, an app or a website, and cannot compare them because they are not presented the same way.

The top score is not a contract.

The scorecard helps structure your judgment, it does not replace it. A quote can look good on paper and disappoint in person: check the references before you sign. And if the gap between two quotes is small, the tool says so instead of declaring a winner.

Frequently asked questions

How does the scorecard work?

You give each quote a score from 1 to 5 on each of the ten criteria. Each criterion has a weight, from 1 to 5, that you can adjust. The percentage result is the sum of the weighted scores, divided by the maximum possible.

Why does code ownership weigh so much?

Because it is what leaves you free to change agencies later. Without it, you are renting what you paid for. Adjust the weight if your situation is different.

Are my scores sent anywhere?

No. The scores and names you enter stay in your browser. Only your contact details, asked once to display the result and the guide, are saved.

Should I pick the quote with the best score?

Not automatically. The score is there to start a discussion, spot weaknesses and decide which questions to ask again. Meet the teams and call the references before you decide.
